The stories I write are purely from my imagination. I do not use AI when building characters, plotting, or drafting/writing my stories. I love the art of storytelling, and it’s a craft I won’t cut corners on. I take pride in my work, and I hope you enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.
On that note, it’s hard not to incorporate AI into the business side of being an author. Many graphic design programs now use AI to help with the setup/layout of ads and provide suggestions/keywords needed to promote the business, or in my case my books. As an author, I have and will be using AI for marketing/promoting my books.
For my book covers, I have designed or have had assistance designing my covers with the help of professional designers. The images used are from my personal photos or purchased photos through Canva, Dreamstime, and Shutterstock. The exception is my new book cover for “Peaceful Plots.” I could not find a cemetery setting I liked, so I used an AI graphic design program to build the cover based on my description of the main character, the angel, and the family plot. And I cannot lie, I was impressed.
In summary, my promise to you is that I will not use AI to write my stories or blogs. I love to write about experiences, and I love to write complex character-driven novels that include building the right emotions needed to be real. I’m not giving that up!
